Key Development Indicators


The G20 is an international forum for the governments and central bank governors from 19 countries and the European Union (EU). It was founded in 1999 with the aim to discuss policy pertaining to the promotion of international financial stability and seek to address issues that go beyond the responsibilities of any one organization.

Following metrics have been used as the development indicators:

  • Overall Spend: Total Spend in Billion $
  • PerCapita: Spend per Capita (Total Spend in $ / Total Population)
  • Shared (% of GDP): Spend as % of GDP (Total Spend in $/Total GDP in $)
  • Mean: Average of the metric for all the years 2012 - 2017

Note:

  • Due to the non-availablity of few metrics for year 2018, date range has been chosen as 2012-2017 to maintain consistency.
  • For cases where data for 1 year is not available, missing values have been treated by subsitituting them with the mean.
  • For cases where data for more than 1 year is not available, missing values have been kept as NA and mean is calculated only as per the available data.
  • For yearly performance section, previous data label denotes the mean data for the country over 2012-2017.
